Knit City Montréal is fast approaching!

We are busy at the workshop getting everything ready for the show and we cannot wait for you to discover what we have lined up for you this year!

The official floor plan is now available to download here and you’ll find us at booth 510.

For those that will be unable to attend Knit City this year, we will be doing a special Knit City shop update with bundles showcasing the yarns we presented at the show together with many other fun products from artisans’ friends that we brought with us. 

Leizu DK  ✨

Nydia Cardigan
Ochoco Sweater

Leizu DK was created to be a go-to, versatile yarn. This bouncy and luminous superwash merino and silk blend offers excellent stitch definition and stunning drape.

Leizu is perfect for cozy garments and next-to-skin accessories. The merino wool makes this yarn incredibly soft to the touch while the silk makes the colours shine with a subtle variegated effect. 
 

Nurtured ✨

Nurtured is a worsted-weight yarn, spun by our friends at Green Mountain Spinnery. Different from our other bases, Nurtured is dyed in the fleece, meaning that the fibers are dyed prior to the yarn being spun, resulting in all the different layers of colors blending into a beautiful heathered look. 

Nurtured has a soft hand, 3-ply construction for strength, and is woollen-spun allowing flexible gauge. It’s great for cables and intricate stitch patterns, and it also brings texture to plain stockinette stitch fabric.

Nurtured  Fine ✨

Nurtured Fine is Nurtured’s little sister, with the same beautiful fiber content in a single ply.

It is a light-fingering weight yarn that knits up at various gauges and needle sizes, depending on the desired drape of the fabric. With generous yardage of 780 yds per 4 oz, you will only need two cones for a sweater or a large shawl.

Fino is a springy fingering weight blend of merino, cashmere and silk. This indulgent mix is the perfect combination of softness, warmth and sheen.

Fino was carefully created with hand-knitted, lightweight garments in mind – since its fabric has great stitch definition and a stunning drape, Fino is particularly suited for a special project.

Anatolia is a versatile, beautifully haloed yarn with a silk finish. It’s the perfect yarn to strand with other types of yarn to add a soft fluffy halo with a subtle glow. Or knit it by itself to create an airy fabric.

Beaded Jewellery  ✨

In the past few weeks, Julie has been working on a small batch of beaded jewellery especially for Knit City! Earrings and Necklaces to go with your woolly creations. 

These make us happy as all the colors are like a dose of joy in your day.

Beam Paints + Katrinn Pelletier ✨

We are totally smitten by this special collaboration between Katrinn Pelletier, Anong Beam of Beam Paints and us for Knit City.

This beautiful kit comes with six illustrations from Katrinn Pelletier, a coordinated watercolor palette created by Beam Paints and a selection of threads dyed by us.

The illustrations can be either painted with Beam Paints beautiful colors or hand-stitched with the threads hand-dyed by us.

The kits will be available at both ours and Katrinn Pelletier‘s booth at Knit City for 40$ each.
