Tutorial – post stitches
Last month we teamed up with the talented Julie Desjardins from Accrochet to release the beautiful Lucie pattern using our Leizu Fingering and Anatolia bases.
The results are stunning. Julie really made the yarns shine in this pattern. This pattern is the perfect mid-season hat, combining the lightness of the fingering weight yarn with the warmth of the mohair – and the halo! A touch of mohair just makes everything prettier.
Lucie is worked in rounds from crown to brim, holding Leizu Fingering & Anatolia together throughout. For those soft, snowy mornings, this aerial beret is all you need.
Lucie’s texture is created by post stitches, non-standard stitches in which we work around the ‘stem’ or post of the stitch, rather than into the top loops. We can push the post forward, or backward – creating front post, or back post stitches.
Julie has shared with us a great tutorial with detailed explanation on Post Stitches, to help you if you want to start learning how to crochet or to improve your techniques.
